Adult Sunday School Classes

We have a wonderful opportunity for you to mature in your faith and to develop a more intimate relationship with God. Sunday School offers a small group experience where the Bible is taught and relationships are developed. "The Sunday School is an ideal environment for developing and maintaining spiritual vitality. It is a place where believers can discover more about God and experience His power and presence firsthand. It is the ideal place for informing, motivating, organizing and carrying out ministry." SUNDAY SCHOOL . . . IT'S NOT JUST FOR CHILDREN . . . IT'S FOR LIFE!

The Men's Bible Class has the longest history in the First United Methodist Church - Forest City. They meet in the lower level of the church each Sunday morning. This group follows the quarterly curriculum and Wes Judy is the teacher.

The Asbury Sunday School class (the largest and most active in the church) meets in the Chapel each Sunday. The Asbury Class will resume the Adult Quarterly curriculum in June. New members are encouraged to join them.

The Gate Sunday School Class meets in the Church Parlor each Sunday morning. The class is continuing their study on the Psalms by Dr. Efird. Please feel free to join this group in the Parlor. New members are always welcome.

The Friendship Class is looking at Favorite Bible Passages. This class meets in the 3rd floor classroom next to the Prayer Room.

The Allelulia Class will be Confronting the Controversies." This class offers a Biblical perspective on tough issues such as separation of church and state, euthanasia, evolution, the death penalty, abortion, prayer in school and homosexuality. This class meets in the conference room.

Other Adult and Senior Activities

Senior Luncheon - Meets the first and third Monday (noon) in the Fellowship Hall.

Aerobics Class - Meets each Monday and Thursday at 2:45 pm
